About Me

A little bit of studying, a whole bunch of traveling - and sleep.

Hey! My name is Joe and I'm currently finishing up my B.A. with a semester abroad - hoping to check out a couple of places I always wanted to visit as I work on a research project...but mainly the former :)

Firm believer in the idea that everything happens for a reason and even if it seems bad, there's a silver lining hidden there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

At the moment couch surfing only.

I couched surfed (for the first time) in Berlin and now I'm convinced it's a great idea/ the best way to see a new city.

Music, Movies, and Books

Currently intrigued by the movies "I am Love" and "Nowhere"

As for books I'm a magazine addict, and have an off and on relationship with Marvel comics (namely anything X-men and currently the New Mutants series). When it comes to actual books without pictures I just started reading "The Virgin Suicides" (again a result of couch surfing) - so far so good.

Lush - the soundtrack of my time abroad so far.
Love Battery
Beat Happening
Currently playing Fiona Apple's new album.
Glass Candy
Philip Glass - the most mundane tasks can be lifted ten fold if you're listening to him.
Riot Grrl, Post Punk, female rappers, 90s music in general, 60s classics
and a long list of others. Here's my

Law and Order
Arrested Development
Mad Men
Living Single (which almost nobody knows about I've figured out)
I've also been watching a good amount of Mad TV clips (the good years) while in Germany.

Talk Shows:
Phil Hendrie (i could listen all day - if you're not aware of who he is we have to set a time to listen)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Having a beer my father in Copenhagen just about was the best day of my life is all I'm saying.

Teach, Learn, Share

I make great pancakes I've been told. Granted this comes from a box.

If you're looking for help with web/multimedia stuff - I can try to be of service :)

Countries I’ve Visited
