If I had to describe myself in a few words I would say energetic, sometimes too optimistic and a very social person. I love meeting people from different countries and get to know the culture. My passion for that started with the High School Year Experience when I was 16 spending a year in Tennessee with a host family... I have lived in Denmark during my studies and started working in Berlin last year.

So you might wonder what I am doing in South America?
I managed to negotiate 2 months of vacation and now I am escaping the winter!
I haven't had a long vacation in what seems forever so I wanted to travel far away, see many things, get some sun and vitamin D and work on my Spanish. I just started learning this summer, but I am ambitious ;)

I started travelling on Dec 2nd, went to Buenos Aires, Montevideo and will go to Iguazu, Mendoza in Argentina. Then, off to MExiko: Monterrey visiting a friend over christmas and Yucatan afterwards. I will fly back to Berlin on Jan 28, from BUenos Aires.

During my free time I really enjoy meeting up with my friends. Sometimes it is just for a coffee or a drink, but actually we all love cooking. So I would be happy to get to know your cuisine and share whatever I know. But please don't expect to see much of the German kitchen, I am only in love with our cakes ;)
Also, I am a very active person and like spending time outside, especially when the sun is shining I can barely sit still. I like to go for a run and take my bike around places, it is a very convenient way to get to know a city.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it is the best way to actually meet locals. I want to know the people of the countries I am visiting and explore places a local way.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is wonderful, I could listen to it all the time. I like all kinds depending on the mood I am in. Since I am a Berliner I love electronic music for dancing and going out, but Oldies and RnB is good for that as well. Other than that I like acoustical music while reading, alternative for cooking and my favorite band is the xx.
I have seen many really good movies, but cannot really remember the titles... generally, I prefer the artist's kind of movies. The latest one I've seen was boyhood. I like Scorsese and Haneke.
Sometimes I am in the mood for philosophy and like Nietzsche. Currently I am reading This Is Water by Wallace and One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich. I liked Things Fall Apart, The Beautiful and Damned by Fitzgerald, Fear and Loathing,... it is a mix.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last year I was on a speed-travel with two mexican friends, very spontaneously for 10 days 6 cities by plane and interrail ticket. It was intense, but an amazing experience with great cities and people and the need of another vacation after that...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach German if you are interested or English. I would love to improve my Spanish and learn about your culture. Share? I guess we can both share interesting stories from our lives? ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

As already said, I really like cooking and in general I also like eating healthy. So it would be dinner or breakfast the healthy delicious way. If you like running as well, I could acompany you for a run in the morning :)
