Hello!

I'm Joey (short for Josephine). It's been my mission for as long as I can remember to travel the world. Ive done a bit but there's so much I've not.

I'm currently struggling to update my pictures on here. I'd be adding more of my feathered friend, Fevvers the parrot, as he is my travel companion.

My brother tells me stories of all tje amazing travels he's had through couchsurfing and I've met so many of his guests. It honestly seems like the perfect way to travel. I don't know why I've not done it yet. I'm back on here to change that. To check off countries. To explore!

A bit about me:
I'm 31 and currently moving between jobs to something I love, as opposed to the thing I did not love. I've been a vegan but food is such a shared experience that I went back to being vegetarian (and maybe a little fish from time to time). Food really is something that connects.

I've travelled a fair bit but mainly on big holidays. I plan to change that, too. Hoping to build up my confidence in couchsurfing and get out there and meet the wonderful people of this world.

I'm new to Couchsurfing, yet I plan to surf when I can.
I haven't got any references yet as I have not surfed or hosted, but I hope that my profile shows the kind of person I am and every Couchsurfer has to start somewhere! :)

I'm hoping to follow in my brother's footsteps here. He has a great place to stay in York - if that's somewhere of interest!
