Hi, my name's Josh from good old New Zealand. Im an actor/writer living in the U.S.A. for the next year. I'm a relaxed kinda guy who's always looking for a fun time, my interests range from the philosophy of Epicurus, to the thrill of hiking and mountain biking, going to the theatre or a live music gig, or even just chilling out with a pizza and binge watching a sweet tv show.

I don't mind making a fool of myself and I'm always up for an adventure!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a trained Actor and writer living in the U.S.A. for the next year on a J-1 work and travel visa. During my time in the states I'm traveling around the country meeting as many cool people as I can while having some fun adventures!

Interests

To be honest, I. Didn't see this panel until I'd finished the about me box, and I kinda included this information, oops lol. Anyway i'm a pretty athletic guy (even if I am on the scrawny side!), the performing arts and writing are also a big part of my life. I like to read a lot and my interests vary from classic texts to stephen king, fact or fiction if i like it, ill read it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: the fountainhead, atlas shrugged, catcher in the rye, under the dome, the great gatsby. I should also mention Our Town, a play by Thornton Wilder I'm particularly fond of.

Movies, aanimated, action and comedy are my staples, favorites would be: the iron giant, shawshank redemption, star wars, anything with a super hero in it, repo man, the other guys, dodgeball, and interstellar (that last one had me on the edge of my seat the whole time!)

Music. My tastes all over the place, a little pop, a little rock, a little country. The only thing i cant really get into is death metal.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last year I wrote, directed, produced, and starred in my own theatre show. The show was a puppet show. I had some help from a professional artist to make the puppets and worked with some other actors. The show was a great success and my first ever project running things myself

Teach, Learn, Share

While studying acting you learn a lot about people and a lot about yourself. Add that with the kiwi outlook on life and you get quite a unique view of the world. Im also wise enough to know i can be a bit thoughtless sometimes and because of this I'm always ready to learn or listen to any advice someone is kind enough to give me.

Im also a pretty good gymnast so i can teach you how to do a backflip!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a vehicle to get around which i can use to sleep in in a pinch, so what i'm really looking for out of couchsurfing is to meet friendly fun people like myself who wanna learn new things and have sone fun with new friends.
