Currently traveling the world for 7 months, completing what was started last year, but cut short by a motorbike accident in Vietnam (my mum said it was a stupid idea; listen to your parents). Been to NZ, Australia, Indonesia and Japan so far this time around, just about to start a road trip across the states with a mate from back home. Couch surfing was recommended to me by a friend so I thought I'd give it a try :)

Meet new people. I've been told it's a different experience to hostels, a local can give you a much better feel for where you're visiting. That's the theory anyways
