About Me

My name is Josh and I am a student at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg Virginia. Im studying Biology and Psychology, and will be attending Dental school in the fall of 2018. I am an outdoor enthusiast who loves to fish, hike, camp, and just explore nature. I also love cultures other than my own and have tried my hand at learning numerous languages with real success in Spanish and im wrapping up my french skills. In my free time other than hanging outdoors, my boyfriend and I love to travel and explore new cuisines. We hope to travel to at least one new place a year while in school, and in the future make it to even more places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to interact with new people and especially people who know the location where i'll be staying. I hope to make new connections, learn about culture and local life, as well as offer up my own home to people in the future. The sharing of life with others is what helps drive cultural awareness and generally creates a much more exciting life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to spend an entire summer in Bucharest Romania interning at a church called Providencia Baptist Church. I was able to work through them at Project Ruth, a school for the Roma Gypsy population. This experience was one of service, a true cultural awakening, and really sparked my travel bug.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn about individuals beliefs, local daily life, as well as cool experiences one would like to share. I love to talk about my hobbies as well as my schooling, and can certainly share what being an LGBT Christian is like. There is always so much to learn from others and this is a great platform to do so.
