About Me

I am 23 years old and grew up in the English countryside near the beautiful City of Cambridge, United Kingdom. Growing up I was always interested in the world around me, both built and natural, and the people that inhabit it. I started studying architecture in 2012 and over the next 3 years completed my first degree, from this I worked for 1 year in Newcastle and then 1 year back in Cambridge. although I learnt a lot in these years, and although a lot of my time is spent infront of the computer in an office, my favourite part of my job was meeting clients and other professionals. however, I cant help but think that there is more I can do with my working life, to help people more with my buildings. So after 2 years of working, perhaps a little wiser, I decided to start a masters in architecture, this time focusing on creating more social architecture away from the restraints of profit margins and projects that only make the rich richer.

So I guess that's the career goals bit of my life out the way, now for everything else.
Growing up in Cambridge did certainly make me who I am, I was fortunate enough to grow up with a great family and amazing friends who still put up with me to this day! come rain or shine we would cycle, wonder the countryside and play football (although I was never any good), now we are older things havnt changed so much, but now we are older when the weather gets bad we find a cosy pub to hide in.

I really got a taste for travel when I turned 18, what started off with a month trip around western europe is now the thing that has pushed me to south america, china and currently singapore. I love seeing the world and how the rest of the world works, i think it is incredibly important to realise that there are other people in the world not just the ones I share a country with.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music taste is quire broad, I grew up with 00's pop and my parents 70's rock (AC/DC all the way) as i grew up i picked up my own taste, a lot of the indie/rock bands coming out of the UK and America. and finally though uni got a good helping of house and electronic music. but still got to say nothing beats a bit of soulful disco!

Movies, i love a good comedy, also a big fan of horror movies. anything by Guy Ritchie too

I dont read as much as i should, i struggle to stay focused on fiction books. Recently have developed a taste for architectural theory essays.
