About Me

Hey what's up!? My name is Josh, at the age of 22 I ventured out on my first trip abroad to Ireland. Ever since then I've been diagnosed with the travel bug. At the age of 26 I decided I wanted more out of life than my typical 9 to 5 so-called "American dream." With the eagerness and curiosity to learn and understand cultures from all walks of life around the globe, I've decided to leave everything I know behind for a live of travel.

PHILOSOPHY:
“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” – St. Augustine
“The use of traveling is to regulate imagination by reality, and instead of thinking how things may be, to see them as they are.” – Samuel Johnson

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on CS to get a local perspective of how life is in your home country. Sure I could travel from country to country, snap a couple pictures for my Instagram and move on but that's not why I'm traveling. I want to learn about the culture, experience it from local perspective and meet some amazing people during the process.

CS EXPERIENCE:
Unfortunately I've never used CS before! Hopefully that will change soon!

Interests

I love traveling, sightseeing, hiking, camping, sports and really anything active. Oh and food, I feel there is no better way to connect with the people and their culture other than over a good meal and a drink!
