Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A friend pointed me in this direction when I told him I wanted to start traveling little by little but didn't want to go from resort to resort or always staying at hotels. Get a little more cultured and experienced with what is going on in the world. He said this was a cheap alternative and a chance to meet new amazing people.

Interests

I enjoy a good many things, but first and formost is adventure. Being somewhere I've never been before and learning new things along the way. I love to roll around town on my long board, or biking up and down the paths. This winter I really want to take all I learnt long boarding and incorporate it into finally learning how to properly snowboard. I kill the time by gaming, reading, watching movies playing magic, crib, cards against humanity and other card games with my sister and roomies. I've taken to going out to shows all around and rockin out, dancing the night way! Want to learn some classy dancing like swing or salsa.

Music, Movies, and Books

For Movies and books I love anything fantasy / sci-fi, and books that leave me with more knowledge then I had when I started reading it. One of my favorite book series is Bio of a Space Tyrant: by Piers Anthony. He has got to be one of my favorite authors for sure!! Comedies and action are always a kick, stand up also leaves me bustin a gut. George Carlin is a solid favorite in that area. That man has shown me that he truth hurts but sometimes its funny. New favorite movies include; "John Dies in the End", (yes that's its actual name) Odd Thomas, pretty much any super hero movie, Tenacious D and the pick of Destiny, Basketball, and the list just goes on and on! I am a big punk rocker at heart, and you can never go wrong with classic rock. Last few years I've been getting into the "EDM" aspects of things, I really like my funky stuff like ghetto funk and gypsy swing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One drunken night following my group of friends I was stumbling across the road, when all of a sudden I was smoked by a taxie!! My friends where horrified, seeing as how I went clear over the hood and roof of the car to land on the other end of the vehicle. The cabby sped off before anyone could do anything, but to my friends astonishment I was back up on my feet and stumbling off towards home. I awoke in the morning to my best friend Kevin standing over me asking if I was alright, and if I was hurt at all. I asked what the hell he was talking about and to go away cuz I was trying to sleep, but he persisted and told me about how I was hit by a cab the night before. I called shenanigans because I didn't hurt and he was the type of guy to be full of it at times (if you get my meaning). I asked all the guys and their girlfriends and they all said their amazed I was not hurt at all, I was amazed I was actually hit by a car and I was still skeptical. My bag I was walking home with was no where to be found and I asked everyone again and they didn't see it since the night prior.I decided to go for a walk to find it and back track the way we went home , sure enough I found my bag. In a bush not ten feet from where they all said I was smacked by the cab. My mind was blown, I walked away not only with my life but unscathed.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like learning all sorts of things, I enjoy working with my hands and getting a good days work in. I am super interested in solar electricity and green power in general, for this reason I became an electrician to learn about them along with motor and power systems. I would one day love to change the world and show them that we can survive along with mother nature and not opposing her.

I am polite and well mannered , always willing to lend a hand. I always do my best to leave everyplace better off then when I showed up, so you can bet that means I clean up after myself and most often others. I am cheery and an easygoing person who is quite easy to get along with and pleased to share in my knowledge and positive attitude.
