I grew up in rural Wisconsin and also attend college in Wisconsin. I aspire to attend medical school after my undergraduate studies and become a multilingual physician. I had the opportunity to study abroad in Seville, Spain last semester which was amazing to learn about the culture. While I am not fluent in Spanish, I do communicate pretty well in it. I love traveling, trying new foods, and learning more about every part of the world!

Music, Movies, and Books

Hard category. I listen to all kinds of music, including music in different languages like Spanish. Favorite movies and telivision series would be Inception, Game of Thrones, House of Cards, Parks and Rec among many others. I don't read as much as I would like to anymore, but I enjoy most any type of book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I left the comfort of my life in Wisconsin to move half way around the world to Spain for a semester, knowing no one when I arrived. I was able to make new friends and did independent travel in and outside of Spain which was a huge leap from the sheltered life I had before.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have strived to be a well-rounded person, so I have a strong background in not only natural sciences but humanities and many other areas as well. I speak Spanish pretty well, and I am trying to learn Italian, French, and German as well. I love learning about other cultures and differences among people in the US as well as internationally. I enjoy talking about past experiences and sharing about how life is in rural Wisconsin.
