My name is Josh. I'm an American singer, living in Leipzig. I was born in Baltimore, in the United States, but my studies have taken me to Boston, Chicago, Oldenburg, and Bremen. I specialized in renaissance and baroque music, and after my master's degree, I decided that I wanted to take advantage of the rich performance opportunities for that music in Germany and increase my cultural experiences by living and traveling in Europe. Since moving here, I've lived in Dresden, and now in Leipzig, and I've traveled all over Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and the Netherlands for my work.

I'm a pretty laid-back and open minded person. I love meeting new people and sharing our experiences. I would consider myself very community oriented, and through couchsurfing, I'm able to contribute to a sense of global community.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a freelance musician, I'm constantly traveling and experiencing new places. One of the things I really like most about being a musician is that I get to contribute to building a global community and making the world a little bit smaller. Through Couchsurfing, I can meet new people, share my experiences with them, and learn from their experiences. It's another way that I can build and contribute to a sense of community and camaraderie.
