ABOUT ME
Ahhh I don't know! What I am all about.. hmm lets see. Well I went to University to become a Geologist.. why? Because I love being outdoors and travelling! So why not do that for a living? I am outgoing and always up for an adventure and to have a good time! Living in Australia for 7 months has taught me about getting "on the piss." So rest assured, I am always ready for a party! I wish everytime I went out there were buckets on hand! I am pretty laid back, but at the same time kinda loud! I love my friends and am always willing to make new ones!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am excited to meet the community and participate in some couch surfing!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had one experience with couch surfers when I was living in Australia. 3 surfers came in and we made them a huge steak dinner and shared stories! It was awesome and the drinks were flowing as well!
Interests
I like to be challenged! If an idea pops up into my head where I can learn something new or be challenged I am game. I am a big fan of the outdoors. I love being out there and exploring new places. I really enjoy travelling to a new country and trying some of the local food or experiencing some of the local culture.
Most of my life I have been dedicated to playing soccer. I played at a high level all the way through university. Now, since I work on the complete opposite side of the world from Canada, and spend most of my time outdoors, I have shifted my passion from soccer more towards completing things that I have always wanted to take up. Kayaking, Mountaineering, Trekking, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most amazing experiences I have ever had in my life was when I travelled through Morocco. I was there during Ramadan and was walking through the streets during a prayer day. It was so amazing to be in the middle of Tangier, walking around with no one else on the street except for a few stray cats. I can remember the muslim prayers bellowing throughout the streets, and walking past packed mosques. From this experience, I have really changed the focus of my travelling more towards experiencing different cultures rather than sightseeing.
Another experience which left me awestruck was travelling through the Gili Islands off of Lombok. I couldn't believe it when I arrived to my amazement that there was no freshwater on the island nor were there any vehicles! It felt as if I was travelling back in time. Taking a "horse taxi" to various places around the island was incredible. I met a guy from San Francisco (Tom) on the ferry from Bali to the Gili Islands. I was travelling alone at the time, and we had an awesome time on the island. Staying at a homestay, no toilet paper, and partying like mad (If you have been there you know what I am referring to). This island was a paradise, and really had a huge effect on me. I had some very memorable experiences on the Gili Islands! The most amazing sunset I have witnessed in my life behind the volcano on Lombok... Beautiful.
