About Me

ABOUT ME

Australian student from Brisbane. Relaxed and easy going but always keen to meet new people, learn something new and share opinions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Always open to hosting people in Brisbane. At the moment I'm travelling the United states looking to meet members of the Couch Surfing community down south and along the east coast.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never couchsurfed, but enjoy travelling out of backpacks and hope to try it out properly through this community, starting May 2013.

Interests

As soon as I stepped off the plane I knew I was meant to travel and haven't wanted to stop since.

In my spare time I'm constantly reading or playing guitar, but I like to keep busy and try to find ways to work on new projects while I'm overseas. Especially now, I'm constantly interested in learning about America from Americans, and always happy to have a chat over a beer.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I've been through just about every stage of music. Bob Dylan was a massive influence. I moved onto rock & roll before slowly realising electronic music. More recently I've listened to a lot of 90's hip hop and edm. Some of my favourite artists would be: Rory Gallagher, Jeff Tweedy, Xavier Rudd, Daft Punk, Dr.Dre, Wu-Tang Clan, Billy Bragg & Knife Party.

Movies & Tv: You won't find a bigger (U.S) office geek. I've got a considerable amount of movie views under my belt, but I'm always up to watch a movie that's considered a classic or something different.

Books: I spend a good chunk of my day reading news articles and opinions online. Unfortunately now that I'm used to reading articles, I don't read anywhere near enough books. The last one was the foundation series by Isaac Asimov but I definitely prefer non-fiction.

Teach, Learn, Share

Some of the people can be all right part of the time, but all of the people can't be all right all of the time.

Slowly learning that there's always a different way to see things and that everyone has something they can teach you.
