About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Live life to the fullest, and meet some cool friends along the way!
ABOUT ME
I'm a friendly, laid-back guy who loves to meet new people, learn new things, and hopes to somehow leave this world better than I found it. I'm a child of the East Coast--born in Boston, currently living in Philly--but I love to travel and experience different places and cultures. I have a particular passion for cities; each one feels like a unique organism to me, built by generations of human experience. I can spend hours just walking their streets, taking in the sights and sounds and feeling their rhythms. I also love music, beer, cooking, and dogs.
PHILOSOPHY
I feel blessed to get even a minute on this Earth and I want to make the most of it. I try to live in the moment and surround myself with good company. I also have a passion for social justice, and feel strongly about using my time and energy to make this world a more just and compassionate place.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Just starting to dip my toes into this community. I finally have the space to host travelers, and I'd love to potentially stay with folks when I find myself on the road. Sounds like way more fun than a hotel.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None yet. Hoping to change that.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Punk/Pop-punk, hip-hop, indie rock, instrumental/ambient, sometimes even jazz or classical... I just really like music. Favorite artist of the moment is The Roots.
Movies: Good Will Hunting, Clerks, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Star Wars, The Departed, Hot Fuzz, any dark comedy
Books: The Corrections, A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, anything by Vonnegut, and countless others.
TV: Breaking Bad, The Wire, The West Wing
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once I was hiking Mt Washington in New Hampshire, and a moose came out the woods and started just walking along the trail with us, close enough to touch and not giving the slightest damn. I also once beat a Hungarian at foosball in a Budapest bar (anyone who has been to Hungary knows what an accomplishment this is)
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a pretty decent cook, and always enjoy swapping recipes and techniques (I'll also cook dinner for anyone who hosts me). I also used to work behind the sound board at a music club, and so I know a lot about audio engineering/recording.
