Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't done any thing on here yet, but if you're ever in the area I'd love the hang out and show you around. I will be moving to Chicago within the next 5 years and definitely plan on hosting people when I get all settled in and moved.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had some meet ups with people in my city but have never done any surfing/hosting. Would like to change this though.

Interests

I just love getting out and exploring. Seeing what's out there and always absorbing new experiences and embracing new moments. I guess you could say I enjoy getting lost.
I've been playing guitar for a little over 2 1/2 years and will be continuing to do so until my fingers fall off. Jesper Strombland and Tony Iommi are my guitar gods (every guitar player has one, right?). I've played piano for about 4 years before that and would really like to get back into it in again.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Art house films. I'm really into the films by Akira Kurosawa, Hayao Miyazaki, Pixar, Wes Anderson, David Fincher and Darren Aronofsky. I've been cutting back on movies and watching more tv shows (such as Doctor Who, Breaking Bad, Archer, Game of Thrones)

Music: Metal \m/. I listen to a lot of Alt Rock (Smashing Pumpkins, Placebo, Radiohead), punk rock/post-punk and electronic (stuff like Bonobo, Aphex Twin and Matthew Dear). Lets talk music! I'm super open with suggestions and am always looking for my next favourite artist/album.

Books: The Lord of the Rings, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Brave New World. Currently spending this summer re-reading the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last minute road trips to different parts of Michigan are a regular thing with me. I have met Tom Kenny and he taught me how to do a spot on Spongebob laugh.
Made it to London. Only for a little bit but was a big thing to me.
