Hello! My Name is Josh Doan and I was born and raised in a border town called Port Huron, Michigan. I am a very loving and compassionate individual with a passion for music and a love for humanity. I have been blessed with charisma and a big heart. I am looking to find myself in this world, so I am heading out on my own into the great unknown. I am committed to personal growth and I am ready for the next step in my spirit's journey. I have aspirations to heal the world and get back to basics. Eventually, I will help provide healthy food, and clean drinking water to all of mankind. I believe in unity. I believe we can not be whole until everyone is whole. We are not healthy if our brothers and sisters are not healthy. I also have a passion for meditation and helping others learn about themselves. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am couch surfing because the thought of traveling pulls on my heart. I feel it is in my destiny to be on the road, at the whim of the universe. I believe in good people. I know there is beautiful, loving, and gentle souls just like myself around the world and I feel couch surfing will put me in touch with the best of them.

Interests

I love jamming and making music with people of all sorts. I mostly play ukulele and hand drums but I am always looking to learn more. Music is my way of expression. My interest are always evolving and changing but there is a few things that have always stuck with me. The number one thing that has always stuck is self improvement and spirituality. I am always looking to improve my connection with the source of all things. I absolutely love being in nature. I enjoy self help books quite a bit, and I am intimately devoted to developing into my most authentic self.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music inspires me above all. I especially like music that empowers. Some of my all time songs and artist are "Don't Worry" by S.O.J.A, "Great Sprit" by Nahko and Medicine for the People, and "Bal Shem Tov" by Matisyahu. I have lots of other songs that make me feel great but these songs inspire me, and help me stay focused on my dreams and goals. I encourage you to check them out :).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I am most proud of is creating a meditation group in my hometown with some of my closest friends. We meet weekly on Sundays, and discuss meditation, and all things that help us feel good. My goal is to build a community where we all uplift each other and together we elevate our consciousness to give the most back to humanity.

I am more than willing to share any knowledge I have. I know a few things about music, and I am blessed with the ability to find the best in the worse situation.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would say my favorite thing I have to give to all people I meet is love and respect. I truly feel a connection to people and nothing makes me feel better than empowering and sharing excitement with other people. No matter how silly it may seem, if you are excited about something and you want to share it with someone that will get just as excited with you, I am your guy. I also would love to cook for anyone that wanted me to. I am more than willing to do just about anything you need me to. I love helping and learning. I am not afraid to get dirty. I also have experience in gardening, and harvesting food.
