ABOUT ME

My name is Josh. My wife, Becky, and I am from Vancouver, Canada but currently living in China. Over the past couple years we have bounced back and forth between living in Taiwan, Vancouver, and China! We are now in living just outside Guangzhou, China.

Back in Vancouver I played bass and guitar in a couple bands and in our time we toured Canada and the United States and played festivals including Pop Montreal and SXSW in Austin, Texas.

We enjoy travelling and while we haven't gotten anywhere near as much under our belt as we would like at this point, we plan on doing lots of country hoping while living in Asia. Speaking of Asia, I am 6'6" and way too tall to live over here.

My wife Becky and I love meeting new people. I am interested in both surfing and hosting and cannot wait to get started!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted a few people while living in Taiwan and had some great experiences with locals and foreigners alike. Becky and I also couchsurf'd throughout Japan and Korea and had nothing but incredibly positive experiences. Couchsurfing is not something I take for granted and am looking forward to more experiences in the future!

Interesses

Interests... lets see. Aside from travel and a general interest in music, I am interested in learning about the local culture wherever I go. Be it Aswan, Egypt or Asheville, NC - I like to find out what the locals enjoy and why.
