We are a group of 3 down to earth artists from across the nation. Collectively we met up and began our travels from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. A beautiful lake town that inspired us to see the rest of the nation. Traveling through Oregon, California, Nevada, Texas, and finally landing in New Orleans we are ready to get our feet wet in the beautiful culture that is NOLA. RJ is from Michigan is a writer, musician, and visual artist. Joshua is a fantastic drummer with a keen eye for the most beautiful places to camp, and Jordan is a painter and writer. Alice is our lovely, mellow, and accepting canine that has been traveling with us. Collectively we are loving, polite humans that are interested in getting to know our terrain a little more thoroughly.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Though this is our first experience Couch Surfing, the community was recommended to us by close friends that have had genuinely beautiful experiences. We are couch surfing as to get to know a little more about the community we are immersed in and expand our knowledge of the art that most definitely exists here. Ultimately it would be charming to meet some cool cats in the area that share interests so that we may expand and become part of this lovely city.

Interests

Collectively we are interested in the mountains, the desert, and exploring the unknown. We enjoy wine, gin, and smoking. Music pumps through all our blood, though Joshua and Rj are the true musicians of the group. Art, whether it be visual or performance, appeals to all of us and we try on a regular basis to keep that river flowing. Typing is a group activity that we all participate in as we have brought along a very lovely Typewriter we collected from a thrift store in Idaho before we began our journey.

As a unit we enjoy; The Growlers, Primus, WEEN, Uncle Acid, Tom Waits, Lead Belly, Son House, OM, Edward Sharp, Dead Kennedy's, The Cramps, Joanna Newsom, and much, much more.

Currently we are reading Hell's Angels by HST, Running with the hunted by C. Bukowski, and Trainspotting by Irvine Welch.

As far as films we all seem to enjoy mostly the esoteric genre.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Really this trip we are on now has been absolutely incredible. We have seen all sorts of terrains and have come in contact with some truly graceful humans.
