I'm an ex mechanic and can fix nearly anything truck sized or smaller with an engine. I'm mechanically inclined, practical, and good at problem solving. My background is in manual labor, landscaping, and i've dabbled with carpentry. I collect and restore vintage clothing and antiques and love saving beautiful old things from being destroyed. I'm passionate about soul music, rhythm and blues, and any and all things related to Sam Cooke. Originally from Massachusettes, I've lived all over the East Coast and worked with my hands forty to sixty hours a week for the past fifteen years. I recently quit my 9-5 to take the leap of faith and pursue a life of adventure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to travel and meet interesting people, to expand my world and challenge myself. I come from a working class background and am genuinely interested in people. I like listening to stories, and getting to know people's histories, and the histories of towns and cities. I'd like to get an inside view of places, meet like minded people, know the local scene, and get to know folks. I don't think it should cost an arm and a leg to visit new places, and i think the experience of people is more valuable and important than just finding a place to crash.
