Overview
About Me
I am an adventurous, energetic, and eager individual who loves life, loves to learn, and loves to travel! I grew up in the United States (Colorado) but am currently living in England. I really enjoy the outdoors, hiking, fly fishing, and golfing. I also enjoy basketball, reading, playing the bagpipes, investing, and learning how to cook! I would describe myself as a life long learner. I like trying things that I've never experienced before and might seem out of my comfort zone. The things in life that are the most challenging are often the most rewarding.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to explore and dive into new cultures and experience all that the world has to offer. I like to meet new people and learn from them and their experiences. Couchsurfing offers a unique opportunity to get to meet people in every culture and experience life in their shoes. Such an awesome platform to meet new personalities and make new friends.
Interests
Where to begin.....I have lots of hobbies. I love anything outdoors and anything that involves learning. If you were to catch me on any given weekend, I'd be up in the mountains hiking, reading, researching new investment strategies, playing chess or board games, or hanging out with friends. While doing all of the above, I love to eat and discover delicious food!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once was lowered down the vent of a volcano into the magma chamber - Þríhnúkagígur in Iceland. Hands down the most exhilarating experience I have ever had.
My brother and I once helped a guy carry his motorcycle across a river and up a ravine in South China. The road we were on was destroyed from a rockslide a few hours before we got there. We were all trying to get to the other side and got to help this guy with his motorcycle - all without him speaking English or us speaking Chinese. It's amazing how you can communicate even without speaking the same language.
Once rode a water-buffalo down a highway....also in China...
