About Me

I am a recent graduate of Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. I love watching bad b-films, drinking hot black teas, and going through my backlog of books. I am a visual artist and a video gamer.

I hope to one day get my Masters degree and teach fine arts in a university setting. In the mean time, I am currently looking for work in the online entertainment industry as a video editor or streaming assistant/coordinator.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking to grow my social circle and meet people across the United States. I am moving from Atlanta to California and would love to be able to experience the cities that I stay in the way any local would. I want the same experience of elation that my friends feels when I show them around Atlanta.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm into a lot of different genres, mainly instrumental music such as downtempo and trip-hop as well as math rock, post-rock, hip-hop, sludge-metal, jazz and swing.

I'm a fan of bad films or B-films or both. I'm also into these directors: Taratino, Wes Anderson, Hitchcock, Kubrick.

I love dystopian, early to mid 20th century American fiction, and Silver-Age American science fiction novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had the opportunity to live and study in the desert of California in Joshua Tree for one month and it was the most culturally impactful experience of my young life. To be able to experience a landscape I was completely unfamiliar with as well as meeting and befriending people who have different world views was an enlightening experience. Hiking and climbing mountains daily was an exhilarating experience in parallel with creating artwork every day.

Teach, Learn, Share

I find that I can teach hosts anything related to visual arts (in particularity to photography or video) as well as computer skills. I am highly proficient in them as they are my primary art-making tools.

I hope to learn more about the history of the places I stay and I hope to take a piece of the culture with me as I continue my journey westward.

I want to share my past experiences with you and I hope you will share yours with me.
