I am on a trip through South America to learn spanish, explore, and interview young artists from the regions i visit.

ABOUT ME

So first and foremost I am a Toronto based artist who works mostly in painting and sculpture. I have always considered it important to involve members of my community in art making, and have spent many years painting community murals. I also produce my own personal artworks for exhibitions and my work is generally focused around environmental issues. These can be viewed here (www.joshuabarndt.com). I also help direct a gallery for young artists called Whippersnapper Gallery in Toronto(www.whippersnapper.ca) + Produce and online talk show about independent artists and musicians (www.latenightinthebedroom.com). So basically my life is the arts. I consider myself easy going and i get along with people very well. I like many types of music from folk - techno, and make a point of making it out to as many live shows as i can.

I am personally trying to learn spanish so if anyone can help me out by offering a lesson o9r just some simple and patient conversation that would be great.

I exchange i can teach brief art lessons, or pass on my knowledge about the history of socially engaged mural making. I can also teach you howe to make a great indian curry.
