About Me
CURRENT MISSION
A two-month cross-country round-trip road trip!
ABOUT ME
Former computer techie, currently changing careers - just got my massage therapy license! I'm a socially adept geek who tends to spend half my time starting at a screen, and the other half as far away from it as possible. Obviously, couch-surfing fits into the second part!
I'm driving across the country, with the goal of trading massages and massage techniques with therapists in every state I pass through!
PHILOSOPHY
To me, the primary value of any experience comes from who I share it with. Whether I'm watching a movie or going hiking, if I can't share it with someone else I probably won't bother to do it at all.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm new to couch surfing, outside of a few short stays with friends.
Interests
I find massage and the human body endlessly fascinating! Also a big computer and technology geek. I also love chatting about all sorts of ideas, whether technical, political, or artistic.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like variety above all. I appreciate both summer blockbusters and indie documentaries. I tend to listen to instrumental, strange, or folk-y music, and read sci-fi/speculative fction, or stuff with postmodern elements. I also have a soft spot for graphic novels and children's books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been to Burning Man a few times. It was a wonderful experience, and I look forward to going back!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach all about massage, and a bit about computers, math and science.
My travel goal is to trade massages and techniques with as many skilled practitioners as possible!
I would love to learn some hands-on mechanical skills, like how to maintain a bike or car, or perhaps some carpentry/construction skills.
Countries I’ve Visited
Puerto Rico, Spain, United States
