Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To learn more about other cultures, and my own, by traveling the world
ABOUT ME
I am an Anthropology major at The George Washington University (GWU), also studying music, Judaic studies and journalism. I am traveling the world through a program called Semester at Sea. I am taking university courses on a ship and visiting Mexico, Hawaii, China (both the mainland and Hong Kong), Japan, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Egypt, Istanbul, Spain, and Croatia.
I grew up in Southern Arizona, but lived in Jerusalem, Israel in middle school, and since my senior year of high school, I've lived in Interlochen, Michigan; Syracuse, New York; the Boston area in Massachusetts; Alexandria, Virginia, and finally Washington, DC. I love new places and change and figuring out how things work in new environments.
PHILOSOPHY
I am a liberal Democrat. Political issues important to me include social and economic equality, the fight against poverty, gay rights (including marriage), universal healthcare, serious and complete overhaul of US foreign policy, protection of the environment, and the global fight against AIDS. My other interests include political and social activism, and medicine, especially emergency medicine and surgery.
