ABOUT ME

I guess I fall into the "Former corporate lackey turned travel junkie" category. Decided to see more of the actual world, give back to the communities a bit, and become a bigger thinker than than the small world where I grew up. I am easy going, enjoy humor of all variety, a bit beyond the party animal phase but enjoy having a couple drinks here and there. I like to experience different cultures and see more than just the one day of tourist hot spots - though I do like to visit the places and see the things.

PHILOSOPHY

If I take someone to the airport I make sure they get all their luggage. That's my whole philosophy. Ok, maybe that's Lloyd Christmas's line... I think it relates to keeping things simple, helping out from time to time, and not being careless.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Have been participating in local meetups, good group in KC! Surf a bit as I roadtrip the states, and try to get to meetups wherever I am. And of course spreading the concept to new people. I set to host when in KC, but no takers yet (except one CSer that I knew from before).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have met great people and personalities thru CS for sure. Inviting, friendly, easy conversation. Not everyone gets the backpacker/vagabond/travel mentality, but this group of people generally has great insights, perspectives, and ideas.

Music: Seems each trip can be tied to the surrounding music. If I'm back home, the radio station basically stays on the alt rock station. Reading: Travel writing, Adventure, Thriller, Suspense. Movies: Action, Comedy

Something unique and different to the norm from where I am from, and pretty amazing experience for me, was taking care of a puma, a bear, and a jaguar in the jungles of Bolivia.
