I'm a 27 year old North Carolinian who is new to the World of travel.
I taught 5th grade in the North Carolina for three years. After finishing the beginning teacher program, I decided it was time to see the world.
After a failed attempt to teach elementary school in the U.K., I found myself teaching English in Spain with a friend from college. After teaching in Spain, I discovered the fantastic option of a working-holiday visa in Australia My friend and I made the long journey to discover the "Outback" as Au Pairs in Sydney.
Our time as au pairs have come to an end and we are in the travel leg of this adventure. I can't wait to see the people I meet throughout this trip in Australia and Asia.

I'm on couchsurfing as a way to meet locals, so I can truly make the most out of the places I'm visiting. I feel that you get so much more insight into the places when seeing and hearing about them from the eyes and mouths of locals.

I'm starting to loose count of the awesome things that have happened in my life, but if I have to go with the most recent, I'll go with snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef. Life goal accomplished.
