ABOUT ME

I'm the mother of two superb teenagers. A 19 years old girl named Shany, and a 17 years old boy named Yan.

I like to be in nature, taking long walks in the forest. My favorite activities include roller blading, cycling, skying and dancing. I also practice yoga and meditation.

I was a hairdresser for 21 years. In 2006, I closed my beauty salon and left with my backpack for Vancouver BC, offering myself time for introspection, for redirecting my life. This trip lasted 3 months. In order to make ends meet, I offered to do different things in exchange for shelter and food. I worked as a gardener, I painted the outside of a whole house, amongst others. I loved the experience. It brought me closer to myself... and opened the door to what would become my new career...

It is in Victoria BC that I discovered the extraordinary, made in California, NIA technique. It was a revelation! It is through NIA that I deeply got in touch with my inner-self for the first time. Dancing NIA opened a door to my femininity in a very new way. WOW! What a beautiful discovery that was and still is.

I am now a NIA certified teacher, and have been since February 2008! I continue to this day to discover myself through the dance.
