ABOUT ME

I'm a 28-year-old English teacher who has just moved to Porto in Portugal.

I am a friendly, polite and respectful person with a relaxed and easygoing nature and a keen sense of adventure. I love meeting new people, exploring new places and trying and learning something new.

I am quite a deep thinker and this can lead to people thinking I'm shy or quiet but actually I'm very sociable and engaging given the right company.

I am very adaptable. I enjoy a night in with good food and a film just as much as a wild night out with dubious amounts of tequila.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I use Couchsurfing to meet new people and make new friends in my local area. I've never actually slept on a stranger's sofa but I'm open-minded enough to try it!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met some really wonderful people and managed to avoid being abducted, which is all you can ask for really.

I love foreign films because it gives you cultural insight into different places and challenges you to learn and look at life from a perspective other than your own.

I love spending the dark winter nights curled up in bed with a cup of hot chocolate and a foreign film on. Some of my favourites are: The Lives of Others, Lola Rennt, Goodbye Lenin, La Haine and City of God.

Music wise, I'll give anything a listen, from salsa to jazz.

I'm currently reading The Master and Margarita.
