Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite music: it's hard to designate a specific genre as being my favorite because I love most music! Recently, I've been drawn to Afrobeats, Reggae, and Latino more, but generally I love anything that I can sing or dance along to. I'm also a lover of musical theater (particularly mainstream shows like Hamilton, Wicked, Les Miserables... don't judge!).
Avid bookworm. I make it a goal to buy a book with a story set in each city that I visit and/or live in. The last book I completed was "Americanah" by Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche. Recently I've been re-reading All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr.
I love movies that make me laugh and make me think. Current favorites include Moulin Rouge, Fantastic Mr. Fox, and Crazy Rich Asians.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I studied abroad in Dakar, Senegal last semester and learned how to speak Wolof! Nanga def?!
