Hi! My name is Joy. I'm a third culture kid. Born and raised in Kenya for a while then moved to US. Now I call America home.

I'm a fairly new digital nomad working from my laptop while I travel the world. I'm a Trauma -Informed Life Coach by day and an avid adventurer. After serving for 5 years in the US Navy, I decided it was time to break out of the norm and do what I really wanted. So I went back to grad school, started a business, sold almost everything and bought a one way ticket to Switzerland.

I'm on here to meet people. See the cities I visit from a locals point of view. I don't like doing the tourist things when I visit. I actually like seeing local spots, hidden gems and getting to experience life with the community.

Music, Movies, and Books

I absolutely love watching movies and shows. I'm currently obsessed with K-dramas and will get anyone just as hooked on them. I love psychological thrillers, action movies, romcoms, comedy and anything that challenges my perspective or makes me laugh.

For music I pretty much listen to anything sans metal and screamo. My top favs are RnB, Dancepop, Raggaetone, Afrobeats, Jazz, Classical, Blues, Neo Soul, Oldies especially 70s and 80s, 90s hip hop, the list is endless.

I am a total bookworm. At any given time I'm reading 3-5 books. Sometimes it takes me a while to finish all of them and other times if the book is really juicy I'm pulling an all nighter 😂 I love thrillers, memoirs, autobiographies, fiction, poetry, mindset, leadership, personal development, and those feel good novels that give you the warm and fuzzies.

I love learning from anyone and anything around me. I find beauty in most things and I've learned not to take myself too seriously. I'm here to meet other people, please from them, have my perspectives challenged and broaden my world view. I'd love to share my life experience, biggest of wisdom I've picked up along the way, laughter, good memories and adventures.
