I will try to introduce myself and hopefully give you a good impression of who might lurke behind this profile. I'm working on my english, some things might sound a little weird as my vocabulary is still growing and I will have to use a dictionary at times (as we all know, dictionaries don't always present the expression one might search for). But I'm giving my best as I wish to reach like-minded people of all backgrounds and nationalities. I apologize in advance. :P

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I think couchsurfing is a great possibility to get to know open-minded, open-hearted people and I spend a lot of time reading positive references written by guests and hosts. I myself have never "couchsurfed" and my opportunities offering a place to sleep are limited, as I live in a one-room apartment and share the kitchen with 10 other students. :) But I'd never say never, taking into account that friends have already spent some days with me in my little home.

What must be the most special thing about couchsurfing is that if host and guest are hitting it off, the visitor is able to get a very special view of the city or place he/she is visiting. Not like on a short holiday trip with touristic programmes.

Literature: Hesse! (My absolute favourite book of all times is "Wer lieben kann ist glücklich", a compilation of Hesse's shortstories and poems about love), David Foster Wallace, Milan Kundera, Franz Kafka, Sebastian Fitzek, Thomas Mann

+ I'm a huge fan of instrumental music for several reasons. But I like everything deep and thrilling! Beirut, Explosions in the Sky, Mono, God is an Astronaut, System of a Down, Dire Straits, Sarah Ferri, Matt Elliott, Sixteen Horsepower, Tool, Silversun Pickups, Elephant Revival, The Smiths, The Scanners, Modest Mouse, Stoned Jesus, Steven Wilson, This Will Destroy You, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Pink Floyd.

I'm also interested in veganism, raw foodism, foodsharing and self-catering!
