About Me

Originally from Minnesota, I'm a recent grad at the University of Southern California. I'm very passionate about world travel and have lived abroad in Shanghai, Düsseldorf, and Milan. My favorite destinations have been Sri Lanka, Morocco, Croatia, and Abu Dhabi. My work experience is mostly in the fashion industry but I'm now working in strategy consulting, focusing on innovation and digital enterprise.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really believe that meeting locals and other travelers is the best way to get to know a new place. My favourite memories have always been shared with someone I just met on the road or people who feel the same way. My life is *unfortunately* a little more stagnant now, so I felt Couchsurfing would be an interesting thing to get involved with. On a practical level - I have a bit of an upcoming need mid-May in NYC so please let me know!

Interests

I love to cook (braises, soups, and breakfast foods), listen to music (Wilco, James Blake, Phantogram), and exercise (yoga, pilates, weight training)

Music, Movies, and Books

I really love all music, having also played violin for 15 years so a sweet spot for classical. Favorite artists though are along the lines of the XX, Purity Ring, James Blake, Flume, Chet Faker, Ta-ku, etc... I love Black Swan and I Love You, Man, and books-wise, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Roadtrip with my closest friends across Morocco. Started in Fez and did a massive loop around the country, up the Atlas, stopping at a few cities like Marrakesh and Essaouira, and of course that typical nomadic overnight in the Sahara. Was incredible and still have never seen the stars so bright :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach the violin if you have :) or other instruments. ppt to but.. that's not super desirable.

I love learning... at this point I miss it so much I could learn anything!

Also love sharing food! Cooking together is one of my favorites

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can bring whatever you guys would like, local food items, small tokens from my neighborhood, favorite things. Of course, if it's my preference I'd share a bottle of wine or whiskey :)
