ABOUT ME

I am really creative and love water (in all aspects). A lot of my energies go toward researching water issues in India, but when free, those energies are very good at organizing parties and consortia.

Interests

creative movement & dance: listening to music to the point where I cannot help but to move, West African dance, performing dance, getting pictures of me dancing in the newspaper, throwing dance parties, sharing the joy

art in many different forms: doing it, witnessing it, collage, film and video, literature, etc

Music, Movies, and Books

I am loving movies at the moment. I don't have a current favorite, but I have recently really enjoyed: BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD, Hugo, Apocalypse Now, Footnote, Generation P (a ficticious Russian film about the the rise of advertising in the 90s to the present), Moonrise Kingdom, and others. . .

Books: My life is pretty busy reading about politics in India and contemporary water issues, but I love literature when I have time to satiate my hunger for it. . . I am currently really into John Updike. I have loved, from a long time ago, The English Patient (by Michael Ondaatje) and Lolita (Nabakov).
