About Me

CURRENT MISSION

The Joy Trip Project

ABOUT ME

I am a freelance journalist and independent media producer. I'm trying to carve out a space in the community of Public Radio covering issues of outdoor recreation, environmental conservation and practices of sustainable living. The Joy Trip Project is the name of my podcast series which is an infrequent contributor to National Public Radio programs around the country.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm a big believer in embracing the moment and taking chances in the pursuit of happiness

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hope to produce a story specifically on Coach Surfing to an NPR program like All Things Considered or Weekend Edition. Through the course of my travels reporting on racial diversity in our National Parks I hope to incorporate the stories of people with whom I have the privilege to surf. I'll promote the hell of CS on my web site.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Absolutely none, I'm looking forward to editing this entry with my first experience soon

Interests

I have a great many interests. Most of the things I enjoy doing relate to health and wellness. I love yoga, meditation and Thai-Chi. But I also enjoy rockclimbing, cycling, trail running, open water swimming, and kayaking. I'm a writer, photographer and illustrator and I'm also a pretty good cook

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm still in progress of an incredible life journey that is constantly unfolding to reveal new and amazing things.
