About Me

I live in Los Angeles, where I work in the film industry. I love to get out and explore, I'm always up for camping trips, midnight bike rides, and really any new adventure. I tend to be a bit of an adrenaline junkie and push the boundaries from time to time. I also love reading in parks, cooking for friends, and building things.

I have a thirst for knowledge and I'd rather ask interesting questions and listen to people's stories than stick to the simple things. I'm truly passionate about making films and documentaries, that really drives my interest in getting to know people and different parts of the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it's always more fulfilling when you get to discover a new place through the eyes of a local. And I always like making new friends and learning about different cultures.

Interests

I'm really passionate about making films, it's keep me creatively fulfilled. Other than that it's whatever random interest I'm feeling at the time -- some furniture construction, or running around LA looking for new things to do. Right now I'm fixing up my house and working on design projects for the backyard.

Music, Movies, and Books

Chance the Rapper, Shakey Graves, Miles Davis, Sound System and Muddy Waters. Current playlist is a lot of Tribe Called Quest, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr, Glass Animals, Lucius, and Earl Sweatshirt.

Hemingway's short stories. Cannery Row by Steinbeck. The World According to Garp. The Savage Detectives. The Interestings. A Visit From the Goon Squad. Oscar Wao.

Superbad, Step Brothers, Amelie, Eternal Sunshine, Beginners, Short Term 12, really to many to list. I really, really like movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I quit my job and ran off to South America for four months. That felt pretty amazing at the time. While I was there my boat into the Amazon sank and then after we got it afloat again almost set a floating gas station on fire. I'm still here though, woohoo!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a really great listener and I'm always excited to have interesting and challenging conversations that expand my view of the world. I'd love to hear about your views on the world, life, and even just what's going on right now.

Also, I really enjoy cooking. I'm no masterchef, but I can do American comfort food really well!

And fun! Fun can be shared right?
