About Me
I'm a young Portuguese software engineer currently living in the Netherlands. I lived in Lisbon most of my life, before I moved to Delft to finish my education, and I'm now working in Rotterdam.
When I'm not feeling too lazy, I enjoy running or biking by the river. I always appreciate cooking and eating some nice food, with a beer or a glass of wine. I also listen to a lot of music, and play the guitar and piano. You can check out some of my old videos on my youtube channel (when I still had long hair!): https://www.youtube.com/user/ProtonixFusion
When I have the time, I enjoy traveling and exploring different cities and countries, meeting new people, and trying to grow as a person from experiencing different perspectives on life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I find the concept behind couchsurfing to be brilliant, and after hearing from friends who did it, I'm very curious to try it for myself. It seems like the perfect way to visit a new city, get valuable insight on the best things to do there, and make new friends!

Music, Movies, and Books
My taste in music is very eclectic, I love electronic music, progressive rock, jazz, experimental, new wave, disco, metal, etc., it really only depends on what mood I am! I'd say some of my favorite artists are Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Opeth and Soft Machine.
As for movies, I have a few favorite directors. I love pretty much every film by Kubrick, Tarantino, Scorcese, and the Coen brothers. Some of my favorite films are Pulp Fiction, Trainspotting, The Matrix, and Fight Club.
I love to learn new things, so I read a lot of technical and scientific books on whatever topic I'm learning. Other than that, some of my favorite books are Gödel Escher Bach, Le Petit Prince, The Trial, L'Étranger, and Siddharta.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A couple of years I went on an Interrail trip all over Europe with 3 friends, for 3 weeks. We had a lot of fun, met very interesting people, and delighted ourselves with a wide variety (and quantity) of delicious international foods and beers. There are still many countries left to visit, so I can't wait to do it again!
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Slovenia, Spain, United Kingdom
Countries I’ve Lived In
