ABOUT ME

I am the kind of person who always laughs when people fall down but I really do care about whether they are hurt or not. I like to read mysteries and watch British comedy and drink at social events and festivals. I don't take myself or others seriously unless I absolutely have to and then I resent it. I love my boyfriend. I love my dog. I am not good at moderation.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't think I have a personal philosophy. Mean people suck? Is that a philosophy?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted and surfed. I live with my mother right now, and she has dementia. Her dementia is getting worse and it might interfere with hosting sometimes.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed in Vienna once and it was a great experience.

Interessi

Pretty much anything except sports and opera. I really like art from prehistoric to contemporary art. I like Latin music. I also like gardening, reading, day-drinking, playing my guitar and singing, board games, beer pong, gossiping, etc.

Musica, film e libri

Latin American protest music, Nueva Trova music (especially Silvio Rodriguez). I love Lindsey Davis' Falco series and Harry Potter. I am not much into movies, but I do like Sci-fi.

I once climbed Pacaya volcano in Guatemala and stood on the cone just hours before it erupted.

I can play guitar a bit, and I can show people around some of the micro-breweries in Raleigh. I can read palms.
