About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel as much as possible, to write, to read, to meet cool people and to laugh. Oh, and to eat good food.

ABOUT ME

I've lived in Chicago, New York City, Dublin, Vancouver and now Boston, among other places. I've visited 30 countries with more on the way.

I teach English, writing and communications at Boston University, the Boston Collegiate Charter School, Lesley University, Quincy College, and Emerson College. In addition to travelling, I enjoy writing, reading, chapstick, electronica, the color orange, cheese, cooking, patterns, biking and good science fiction.

PHILOSOPHY

Whether you think you can or can't doesn't matter, because you'll be right.

"If your boy is a poet, horse manure can only mean flowers to him." --Ray Bradbury

"I can’t do anything about the chaos in the universe or my country, or even in my own miserable life, but I can at least make this piece of paper or canvas, or blob of clay or chunk of marble, exactly what it should be.” --Kurt Vonnegut
