To travel as much as possible, to write, to read, to meet cool people and to laugh. Oh, and to eat good food.

ABOUT ME

I've lived in Chicago, New York City, Dublin, Vancouver and now Boston, among other places. It's my life goal to keep the number of countries I've visited higher than my age. So far, so good.

I teach writing and research with a focus on science fiction, space exploration, and artificial intelligence at Boston University. I write a bunch of stuff--essays about traveling, reading, writing, teaching, etc, as well as science stuff (I'm currently the robot columnist for the Daily Beast). I enjoy writing, reading, chapstick, electronica, the color orange, cooking, patterns, biking, hiking, kayaking, all the other outdoor ings, eating, drinking, talking...you get the picture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the Couchsurfing mission and have met such awesome people here! I'm currently planning a trip to Iceland in mid-June and am looking for couches to surf, people to hang with, people to drive with, etc.
