About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore as much of Europe and Northern Africa as possible while studying abroad in Spain!

ABOUT ME

I'm a 28-year-old Seattleite currently studying in Spain. I have also lived in Japan, Australia, and upstate New York. Couldn't log on for a little while, so sorry for not responding to messages. Right now, though I don't have a place for people to stay (living with a host family...)

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live. And also live life to the fullest, because it goes by fast.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't had the chance yet, but I hope to become an active member while here in Spain. Should have a couch next fall in Cádiz, and once I get back to Seattle next spring, I will hopefully also have a couch to share.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have met some cool people through networking, but haven't stayed on any couches or hosted anyone yet.

Interests

I love hiking, cooking, reading, beer, good food and wine, walking around new cities, and learning about what it's like to live in different places around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Currently reading 1Q84 and a book of poems by Pablo Neruda in Spanish

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent 3 days by myself in the Cinque Terre this summer before meeting my friend in Venice and it was absolutely magical. I hiked for about 10 hours each day, climbing around terraced cliffs high up above the turquoise Mediterranean Sea and the particolored houses. One of the most beautiful places that I have ever been.

Teach, Learn, Share

Spain has the most grape vines per capita of any country in the world! Andalucia is a great region for sherry and dessert wine such as moscatel. I attended wine classes once a week for about 7 months at the restaurant I work at in Seattle, so I know quite a bit about wine, beer, and spirits as well. Hoping to learn much more while in Europe!
