ABOUT ME

I am a health-conscious, happy, middle-aged normal person. I have three grown sons and have had a wonderful life so far. I am bicycling across the U.S. in sections, hiking the highest point in each of the 50 states when I get a chance, and sitting on my porch or working the rest of the time. It's all great!

PHILOSOPHY

I live by a lot of Thoreau and a lot of my own intuition. I believe in thinking positively and getting over the bad stuff without delay. I believe in being strong and self-sufficient and I work hard to keep a light footprint on this earth.

Independent and foreign films, novels, personal essays, poetry, not hard rock or rap music but mostly anything else, particularly international. I forget all the names of albums and artists and movies and actors, but I sure enjoy them anyway.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed Mauna Kea, the highest point in Hawaii, alone.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think I have things to share to folks who may be thinking about or trying to live a solo lifestyle that is purposeful (re. the planet, daily life, choices) and happy, and, through my living space and "couch" offer, I could share a taste of the country and some peace and quiet.
