ABOUT ME

I survived and conquered my first year of law school and am currently participating in an international dispute resolution seminar in Croatia. Spent one week in Zagreb and currently spending ~3 weeks on the Adriatic coast in Zadar. Life is quite good at the moment. As a law student, my life consists of an awkward dichotomy between intense academic concentration and a wildly ridiculous imagination. I never take life too seriously and view every twist and turn through an optimistic lens. I look to appreciate the uniqueness of each experience, even if it doesn't always conform with the narrow expectation we sometime trick ourselves into believing constitutes reality, or the way "it should be."

PHILOSOPHY

Splujanomics. This should mean nothing to you, and won't until I can break it down over a few drinks.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

BRAND SPANKIN' NEW to this seemingly wonderful tool. If you read above, I'm currently studying in Croatia, but have planned an ambitious journey following my program. My good friend had to drop out last minute because of a job he got, so I'll be traveling alone. One of my classmates recommended that I sign up for this program. I'm eager to meet local residents and other travelers to explore with.

When I return to Chicago following my trip I'd love to help return the favor/pay it forward.

If I could choose one thing to survive if the rest of the world crumbled away I'd certainly choose music. I'm open to all types, but am preferable to folk, jazz and good ole rock 'n roll [most notably The Rolling Stones].

As a law student that reads for 10+ hours a day [when necessary, and perhaps too often] I maintain neither the energy nor desire to continue to read for leisure, but when I do I appreciate biographies. I find other people's life experiences fascinating.

However, I am a huge fan of television series: Mad Men, Sopranos, Breaking Bad, The Wire.
