About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Go someplace new every year :)

ABOUT ME

One of my favorite things about traveling is meeting people who've had different cultural backgrounds and perspectives on the world. I think we can grow a lot as people just by listening to others with an open mind.

PHILOSOPHY

If you have a choice to make, choose the one that will make a better story.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

If you're visiting LA on a weekend and you want to go on a hike or to the beach let me know! I know some great places around the area and I'd love to show some people around. Also if you need tips on good beaches, museums, local sights or fun places to wander around, I can help out there, too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only tried Couchsurfing a few times when I know I can spend some time with my host and not just crash for the night. As most of my travel is crammed into a week, I usually just sleep in hostels.

Interests

If I'm traveling, I'm mostly interested in the local history. I really like visiting cities of historical significance. Museums are great.

Here at home in California I mostly hike and camp on the weekends. I really like getting outdoors while traveling, but sometimes it's harder to do with a limited time-span.

I play piano and guitar. Sometimes I write fiction. I'm a programmer and game developer, so I keep up with what's happening in tech and the game industry.

I love maps... a lot. Not sure where that fits in, but there it is.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first 'venture' into traveling, I taught English in South Korea for a year. It gave me the travel bug and I had some great experiences there I wouldn't trade for anything.

Countries I’ve Visited

China, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Mexico, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
