ABOUT ME

I love people, progressive conversations and thinking. Finding and connecting with other people is a fundamental joy in life. I take pride in honesty and integrity and call things as they are. I've been through a lot, and have made it through to tell some inspiring stories. I love helping people. I am very laid back and patient, but also, and ironically, I tend to overprocess. I love being outside, and the outdoors, but having lived in Philadelphia the past 4 years, I need some more nature in my life. I'm excited to have started grad school and look forward to seeing where I end up.

I was planning on heading west for a doctoral program, but given the dismal economy of California, my indecision as to what particular part of memory or cognition I'd like to study - I'll be in the Philly area for the next 3-4 years. I was, and had been going to a lot of shows, seeing a lot of friends and dancing to good music. Lately though its all books, work and relaxing low-key when the time comes. I work on-to-one with children on the Autism Spectrum, or otherwise in need of services both in school and at home. I'm open minded and love learning as much as I can. I've put a big halt on partying lately and have enjoyed working with children... I'm very interested in the brain, and would like to integrate the emerging field of neuroscience into research and applied clinical work with children and adults. Structure is great for me.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Jess and I took a trip out west, and were grateful to be hosted from Oregon all the way down to southern California. I also have a bed/couch available, and plan on more travels.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We just had an AMAZING experience, couchsurfing down the entire west coast. We started in Portland, drove down Pacific Hwy, stayed in Ashland, OR, saw the redwoods, stayed in Arcata, then down to the San Fran area, then down to Santa Barbara, then up west to Fresno, had an incredible adventure through Yosemite, and spent the last couple days in Sacramento. Everyone we met was great, friendly and opened their homes and shared wonderfully.
