ABOUT ME

The variety of experiences that one is facing through his life make him/her changing continuously and so do I.
I think I'm changing every month, maybe even week, believing that life is a gift and I must take advantage of it.
Recently I felt like I had to travel all around latin america (and then perhaps also in Australia), so quit my job and started preparing the trip.

- 10th Oct: I'm in Madrid now, first step of my travel,flown here from Venice. In a few days I'll head to Gibraltar where I'll start walking along the port in the look out for a boat to take me to las palmas..
- 22nd Oct: Arrived to La Linea de la Concepcion
- 6th Nov: Started the crossing from La Linea to Portosanto by boat
- 12th Nov: Arrived to Portosanto (Madeira archipelago)
- 17th Nov: Changed boat and made the 6 hours sailing to Madeira
- 20th Nov: I took a plane to Las Palmas due to an unmissable appointment!
- 23th Nov: Visited Fuerteventura with Silvia and back on the next day

PHILOSOPHY

* Dogs are friendlier than cats, but with potatoes and rosemary in the oven you really can't taste the difference! (kidding...)

* Well I guess I'll make up my mind during the trip, recently I have been a little wondering (and wandering)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

After working as a volunteer at the African Film Festival of Tarifa I met Cecilia (she was my boss!) and she let me know the CS community.
Thanks to her I discovered this great and fun parallel world where I´ve already met a lot of wonderful people

**CS experience has meant knowing a lot of people so far, in only three months in my new city.
The welcome to a new place has never have been so lovely and lively!

Well, after the experiences of London and Brussels meeting people from around the world who were traveling there, now it's time for me to meet a lot of people because I am traveling ;)

I love well told stories! like the combination of storytelling arts and visual creativity and am always delighted to meet some good storyteller!
Also like books (also for reading, not only to lift the monitor :O)
I was taking salsa classes but for a mix of reasons I gave up even though I still like it. Of course this doesn't prevent me to put out a dance sometimes.
In Brussels I was taking classes of accordeon. That worked this way:
Day 1. I meet this accordeon player and I ask her to play something. She says there's a music accademy in town providing lessons for a wide range of less-known instruments.
Day 2. I surf the school website
Day 3. I go to see them
Day 4. I meet the teacher
Day 5. I have my second hand accordeon and I start taking classes :)))))))

Oh also I was swimming a lot! Actually It's been a while now I haven't and in fact am missing it.
¿Who knows whether I'll be able to swim in the atlantic ocean during the sail boat crossing?!??

I love Motorbike! Also had one but not anymore... i look forward, i look forward!

Muzyka, filmy i książki

One of the best books I read in the last years is "The kite runner" by Khaled Hosseini, then I watched also the movie but it isn't as good as the book, no no no

Recently read "The End Is My Beginning" and among other things is what pushed me up for this RTW trip that I'm almost about to start...

Music ?: Omar Sosa "the young", Philip Glass "the imposing", Vassilis Tsabropoulos "the circumspect", Orchestra Baobab "the happy tree of life", Fabrizio de André "the poet", Astor "the sentimental" Piazzolla, Goran Bregovic "the restless", Nina Simone "the big cute ass", E.s.t. "two lectures" and how to forget my old friend Giovanni Sebastiano (Bach) with his incommensurable Matthäus Passion, then a lot of piano stuff, persian music, flamenco, tango (!), klezmer...

I am totally into Tiziano Terzani, do you know him?
well if no, you surely wanna know.
He's been a italian correspondent in Asia for 30 years for the german newspaper Der Spiegel.
During all this time he covered the war in Vietnam, the khmer rouge in Cambodia, then he was in Japan, India etc..
He lived all the social revolutions that put the world upside down in the 70s and onward.
His books, letters and articles are full of History, as he was used to say. He lived the history's changes through its main events in that period.
Until he discovers he has a cancer and start a personal path through spiritualism and different kinds of alternative medicine.
This path leads him to many hidden corners of the world and eventually to India, at the base of Himalaya, where he meets this "old wise man" and with his help starts this solo travel of islating from the world of materialism and day-to-day needs that govern our lives.

It's not mysticism, it's about taking yourself out of the everyday routine for a while.
Inspiring.

Crossed the Atlantic Ocean till Madeira (from Gibraltar) and looking forward to complete the experience.
Got scared, really scared, amused, thrilled, would do it again :)
