About Me

Soon to be finishing my degree in London, and about to set off on a bit of an adventure around the States for the months of June-September while I get some photographic projects kickstarted.

If you're not queer-friendly or just tolerant overall it'd probably be best if you didn't host me or requested for me to host you - we probably wouldn't get along anyway!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Even if I can seldom host myself (living on a budget in London - doesn't leave much room to take people in until I get out of here for good), I enjoy couchsurfing as an entry point to get a real feel of the places I'm visiting, as opposed to staying at hostels/apartments - which feels a lot more impersonal.

I love cooking and spending quality time with my hosts, and I always do my best to find a way to show my gratitude for being offered a place to crash. My previous hosts have all become good friends of mine, and I'm glad to have been able to keep in touch with most of them until today.

Connecting with like-minded people while abroad is what turns a trip into a memorable experience, and I hope I can soon move over the other end of the arrangement and offer my own place to couch surfers on the move (again, need to move out of London + get a job etc. in order for that to happen)!

If surfing or hosting is impossible, it's always cool to go for a coffee or a drink as well.

Interests

I have a hard time staying in one place for a prolonged period of time, so I end up moving around quite a lot. Looking forward to meeting interesting people while on the move and learning about their background/culture.

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything by Sontag or Butler/other post-structuralist and queer literature (***gender, gender, gender***) when it comes to more academic stuff, otherwise I'm a big fan of Amélie Nothomb among many others, hard to list these sorts of things.

Into Tarkovsky and similar kinds of mind-boggling Soviet cinema and aesthetics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's a blur.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook bottomless vegetarian dishes and help you brush up on your Spanish/English/French if that's a thing?
