Hi Couchsurfing Community!
I find it hard to describe myself in writing, I think it's best to meet me! Anyway, I'll try my best.
I´m Juan, currently studying engineering in Madrid. ! I consider myself easygoing, sociable and open to new ways of experiencing life. My main reason to travel is to meet other ways of life and the culture of the country I visit, and especially people.

I must say that I like sports a lot and I have a lot of energy, so I am not afraid of physical work. I compete on Olympic weightlifting on an amateur level, but I like any sport. Hiking, mountain biking, rafting, surf, calisthenics, table tennis, you name it. When possible, I like to do them on nature, unfortunately here in Madrid there is not much, so that´s another reason I like to travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well this one is easy: the people! For me, travelling is not about checking all the must-see tourist spots, but to get to know a place, its culture and people.
I also see it as a good way to find people with similar interests.

Interests

I have a variety of interests, some of which are: movement (Ido Portal), meditation, homeschooling/unschooling, stoic philosophy, ancestral health/paleo movement, more efficient ways of learning, financial independence, alternative ways of living, building things, fiction and non-fiction books, and over all, deep conversations about life with small groups of people.

Music: rock, Spanish music, a little bit of classical music (Hans Zimmer, Ludovico Eunaudi).
Movies: Benjamin Button, Inception, Interstellar, Fight's club.
Books. Many, many books. Most of them about self-development. Some of them are Antifragile, the daily stoic, also the name of the wind.
