About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To become location independent.

ABOUT ME

Not great at describing myself by textbox or questions like "Tell me about yourself." For someone to know me I'd rather let the conversation flow, and the other person can put the pieces together.

One thing though, I'm trying to picking up a trinket from every place I visit. When my collection is big enough, I want to build a "travel shelf", so any help with finding one would be helpful.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't take yourself too seriously.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't host or travel at the moment, so what I've been doing lately is just going out and about with locals & showing new people or travelers around.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met my first surfer, showed her around a bit, then lost my car and wandered around, it turned out to be pretty fun.

A good year later I met 3 surfers in West Palm and had Mexican food, Halloween ideas, and a fun time.

Recently with one of those same surfers, I made my way down to Key Largo and met some pretty cool people from Mexico, Bolivia, and France.

I've talked to people from China, Vietnam, Russia, Japan, Canada, and Poland here. Some I've made fast friends with and hope to meet one day whenever I make my way to their side of the world.

In short, CS does not disappoint. I'm looking forward to my first visit in another country with a host.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've held a ball python, scorpion, tarantula, and a baby alligator throughout my childhood, that is life in Florida.

I've jumped over a river of ants 1/2 a meter wide, trekked through old stone steps through the Amazon all to discover paradise (Tayrona)

I've stood at the southernmost point of the United States.

I've seen a giant manta ray in the wild.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: If anyone wants to learn English/Spanish, Swing Dancing, Kung-fu, boxing, and/or guitar.

Learn: I'm glad to learn just about anything my host/surfer wants to teach, but I'd really like to be better at surfing.

Share: Drinks, jokes, stories.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Recipes, booze, and a good time. I'll come up with more, probably.
