About Me

To find a mission.

Not very good at describing myself by textbox or questions such as "Tell me about yourself." For someone to know me I'd rather have a conversation and let the other person can put the pieces together.

One thing though, I'm picking up a trinket from every country I visit. When my collection is big enough, I want to build a "travel shelf", so any help with finding one would be helpful.

Big supporter of the "Treat others as you'd like yourself to be treated" idea.

Learn to laugh at yourself, and the world becomes a funnier, more enjoyable place.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

Unfortunately I can't host or travel at the moment, so what I've been doing as of late is going out and about with locals & showing new people or travelers around.

Met my first surfer, showed her around a bit, then lost my car and wandered around a bit (and got to know each other a tad in the process.)

A good year later I met 3 CS'ers in my city and had Mexican food, halloween ideas, and a fun time.

I've talked to CS'ers from China, Vietnam, Russia, Japan, Canada, and Poland online. Some I've made fast friends with and hope to meet one day when I inevitably make my way to their fantastic countries.

In summary, CS does not disappoint; however, I can't wait for my first visit in another country with a CS host.

All things interesting.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

I've held a ball python, scorpion, tarantula, and a baby alligator throughout my childhood, that is life in Florida.

I've jumped over a river of ants 1/2 a meter wide, trekked through old stone steps through the Amazon all to discover paradise in the form of Tayrona, Colombia. (Must find the pictures!!!)

I've stood at the southernmost point of the United States.

I've touched a giant manta ray in the wild.
