ABOUT ME

I'm super nice. I'm easy going. I like to immerse myself in culture when I travel (and save touristy stuff for the last second).

I enjoy cultural events - film, music, art, food, etc.

I like street fashion. I like blogging. I like thrifting and photography.

I like to dance as well so nightlife interests me too. I am into all kinds of dance venues but an ideal spot would be playing house, uk dance music, french house and future music rather than trance & dubstep. I also like bars that play good music as well.

I enjoy dive bars and traveling on a budget.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now, I am looking into more of using it for the purposes of couch surfing myself. I really like that this outlet serves as an exchange of ideas/skills/point of views in a different city which really seems invaluable to me.

When I'm in a less transient point in my life, I definitely would love hosting guests on my respective couch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never couch surfed before but I plan on doing it for the first time this summer. I've had alot of friends who have done it and had great experiences.

Interests

I really like Latin American related things. I studied anthropology and focused primarily on Latin America. Alot of my work has been centered on that region so it's always fun to see that influence abroad. It also helps that I've only really traveled to Spanish speaking countries outside of the U.S. with the exception of Canada.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books - I tend to read alot of non-fiction but very seldom do I pick up a book. I primarily read music and fashion magazines. I also read ethnographies from time to time. RIGHT NOW, I'm trying to read a biography that a family friend just finished up about my great grandfather.

Movies - I like really stupid comedies and documentaries!

Shows - Modern Family, Parks and Recreation, Girls, Dance Moms (except not too much anymore) and other random shows. I also love anything on the Travel Chanel, Destination America, Nat Geo, and History Channel.

Music - The Mars Volta, The Cure, The Dirty Projectors, Wild Beasts, Iron & Wine, Bjork, The Xx, Disclosure, Daft Punk, Toro y Moi, Deftones, James Blake, etc. I could go on and on.

Food - I am not too picky. I am not the biggest fan of spicy food.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to go to the Pyramid of the Sun and the Moon in Mexico. That was really excellent. I also got to see the sunrise at the Grand Canyon with my family, that's something i'll never forget.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a thing or two about Latin America.
I can show you how to make some pretty awesome vodka cocktails.
I can show you/share some really great music and fashion tips.
I can give you tips on how to be thrifty/frugile or how to live/have fun on a budget.
I can also probably show you a dance move or two, if you're lucky.
