Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hope to meet nice people espacially abroad. It is probably the best way to really get an idea about the country instead of just visiting it and taking some photos.
And this holds true the other way around. Showing Münster to other people espacially the non-tourist sites can be real fun.

Interests

Biology and everything around nature. Beside I like theater and (live) music. At home I'm meeting up with friends a lot and hope to to meet new friends on my travel.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music accompanies me everywhere and the genres I here most change from time to time. Sometimes it's just charts/radio. But (hard) rock is always one of my favourits. Soul, jazz, pop and even classical music are also important and I'm always looking for new, good music. However, the best is live music. Ranging from big concerts to little bars with a singer-song writer, that usually gets me. For example Wallis Bird is amazing!!! And at the moment the austrian band 'Bilderbuch' causes me many 'earworms' (as we say in Germany ;-) ).
Reading is one of my hobbies whenever I have enough time to, and not to much to read at work. The books range from (historian) novels and thriller (Jo Nesbo) to fantasy (I love the Lord of the Rings!!). I can take a book and forget everything around me for hours. That's the best not only for rainy, cold days but also laying in the sun at the beach.
I would definitely not call myself a cineaste (I don't own a TV and visit cinemas about once a month) but I like movies with a real plot and well performing actors. One is The Bucket List with Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson. But of course I can't escape the attraction of some blockbusters. ;-)
Theater is a good alternative, though.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

That's hard to decide. Probably the most amazing thing was a skydive above the australien sea near Sydney. It was a beautiful, perfect day; sunny so the view from up there was wonderful. I can still remember the feeling when free falling. Would do a skydive again, anytime.
