I'm all about exploring life; seeing, hearing, listening, smelling, tasting, feeling, and loving. As everybody, I assume all peeps on this online community do so, I also love travelling: this is for sure the best way to explore and experience life. I try to challenge myself in bigger life events, but also in daily practices. I push myself to get out of my comfort zone and to open up myself for the rest of the world.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I think that every interaction with another (human) being an exchange takes place. This can be on all levels; rational, physical and emotional. I believe that every exchange is one to cherish. To be open, to perceive the world and to suck life in I need other human beings. This is where couchsurfing comes in, because this awesome forum is a spot to get to know new people in an intimate and different way.

Intereses

I like to cycle, typical Dutch, and I had an awesome summer holiday by riding my bike from German, via Czech Republic to Austria. I also love to box. This is in line with challenging myself and every spar session I get confronted with my own vulnerabilities and weaknesses which keeps me aware and most of all motivated to be fit. Don't worry, in my case it is a misconception that boxers are agressive. I consider myself more a hugger with an empathic heart than an agressive fighter. Furthermore, I love to jam on my guitar. I'm besides music also passionate about human rights and support the work Amnesty International does. Finally, I'm interested in philosophy and love to exchange views.

Música, películas y libros

One of my favorite books are; The reader (Bernard Schlink), When God was a rabbit (Sarah Winman), Into the Wild (Jon krakaeur) and Tirza (Arno Grunberg).
Music which I like is very diverse from electro to funk to rock. Bands I love are; Michael Franti, Nirvana, Ska Cubano, Mura Masa, SX, Skip and Die, Mazzy Star and many more.
I adore movies from Jean-Pierre Jeunet; Amelie, Delicatessen, La cité les enfants perus. I also like to watch sci-fi like V for Vendetta, Ex-machina or Avatar, or dramas like Still Alice, Doctor Zhivago or Million Dollar Baby .

One amazing thing.. I find this difficult to say, because I think I'm a loveable person but could not share one thing I'm so proud on. Maybe just being?

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I can teach some self-defence and other boxing skills. I can also learn some songs on the guitar. I'm also a good listener and can ask the right questions on the right moment. I love to share my visions on the world, talk philosphically.
